DCM has introduced a new fertilizer for sports fields that are only used up to 250 hours per annum. The new DCM Turf-Mix is made of both organic and mineral raw materials. Thanks to this combination the nourishing of the grass will start immediately and will last four to five months.
Thanks to this extended nourishing period, the field will only require one or two fertilizing moments per grow-season to guarantee the best result. It contains fast-working nitrogen (ammonium and urea). The variety of organic nutritional elements, each with their own NPK, guarantees the even and continuous nutrition of plants for a period of between 75 and 100 days. An additional, slow-working, mineral nitrogen based on methylene urea (urea formaldehyde) has also been added. The urea-formaldehyde molecule is a complex chain that is converted into a plant-absorbent diet by the soil life and extends the active duration to 120 or even 150 days.
The specially compiled formula contains potassium (K). Potassium strengthens the plant cells and ensures that the grass will suffer less damage during (intensive) use, drought and frost.
The extra added iron (Fe), in the form of iron chelate, ensures better photosynthesis and a deep green grass color throughout the year. Since the product does not contain phosphorus, this fertilizer is also suitable when sufficient phosphorus is already present in the soil or no phosphorus fertilization is desired.
DCM's Turf-Mix does not contain any chemical fertilizers but only contains organic components. As the soil converts these organic components into humus and food, they become stimulates for the soil. This reduces the likelihood of diseases while the roots will develop better and the grass will grow better, DCM claims.
